This week, Andy Hall will petition the Office Of The National Broadcasting Telecommunications Commission of Thailand (NBTC) requesting a serious and independent investigation into the acts of reporters, presenters, Channel 3, Natural Fruit and Natural Fruit prosecution lawyers regarding the recent airing on Channel 3 of a 3 part investigative journalism series entitled ‘The Trafficking Research that Damaged Thailand.’
The series footage, including filmed interviews with Natural Fruit migrant employees (who were interviewed by Hall during his research into Natural Fruit for a Finnwatch report) filmed exclusively inside Natural Fruit factory premises, under the company’s authority, was used against Andy Hall in Court by prosecution lawyers at Andy Hall’s first Natural Fruit instigated criminal defamation trial at Prakanong Court from 2-10 Sept 2014.
Andy Hall strongly objects to the factual errors and negative insinuations about his character as portrayed in the programme, aired from 29-31 July 2014, and requests an independent investigation of the ethics and legality of conduct of all those concerned in the filming and airing of this programme on Channel 3 by the NBTC.
